  • Angel Tree Lighting (Friday, December 5, 2025)
    Come spread some holiday cheer at the Angel Tree Lighting Event! Enjoy festive music, tasty treats, outstanding performances, and a heartwarming celebration as we kick off the season of giving and create magical moments together as a community!
  • Santa Sleigh (December 8-12, 15-17, & 19, 2025)
    An annual event where Santa Claus and his elves deliver holiday cheer to children in Lawndale neighborhoods. Make sure to check the website to see when Santa and his sleigh will be visiting your neighborhood!

  • Spring Cleanup Week (Sunday, March 15, 2026- Saturday, March 21, 2026) 
    Join us for the city’s Clean-Up event to help beautify our streets, parks, and public spaces by picking up litter and clearing debris. It's a great way to contribute to a cleaner, greener community while enjoying a day of teamwork and local pride!

  • Egg Hunt (Saturday, March 28, 2026)
    Join us for a fun-filled event at a community park, where kids can search for colorful eggs filled with prizes! The event will also feature face painting, games, arts and crafts, and an Easter Bunny for photo opportunities. Bring the whole family for a day of festive fun and lasting memories!
  • Youth in Government Day (Tuesday, TBD)
    Youth in Government Day invites students to step into the world of local city leadership through an engaging, hands-on experience. Participants will learn how government works, meet with elected officials and city staff, and collaborate on real community issues. Designed to inspire civic curiosity and leadership, this event gives young people a meaningful behind-the-scenes look at how their city operates—and how they can help shape its future.
  • Youth Day Parade (Saturday, April 25, 2026)
    Come and support the youth of Lawndale and cheer on the Marching Bands, Community Organizations, School Groups, Dance Teams, Classic Cars, and many other participating groups. And when the parade is over, join us for more fun in the Lawndale Civic Center, for food, music, and more!

  • Spring Concert (Saturday, May 9, 2026)
    Join us for a day of live music, food, games, and fun at Jane Addams Park! Featuring a variety of musical guests, you’re sure to be rocking all afternoon! Come hungry, and ready to dance, for this exciting day of music!

  • Memorial Day Remembrance (Monday, May 25, 2026)
    Join the Lawndale City Council and special guests to honor those who have lost their lives in service to the United States on Memorial Day.

  • Health, Safety and Pet Fair (Saturday, June 13, 2026)
    Join us for an event highlighting essential services for your personal health and safety, and for your furry friends too! Take advantage of information booths, dog licensing, low-cost dog and cat vaccinations, microchip implants, and more to keep your pets happy and healthy. Don’t miss this opportunity to access important resources and see what fun activities we have planned!

  • Lemonade Day (Saturday, July 11, 2026)
    Lemonade Day is a fun, experiential program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their very own business - a lemonade stand. Each year, in participating cities, youth have the opportunity to experience entrepreneurship by setting up their business during their city's community-wide Lemonade Day. 
  • National Night Out (Tuesday, August 4, 2026)
    National Night Out is a community- building campaign that promotes police community partnerships. An evening of family fun, refreshments, music, community organizations, display booths and more!

  • Fall Cleanup Week (Sunday, September 13, 2026- Saturday, September 19, 2026)
    Join us for the city’s Clean-Up event to help beautify our streets, parks, and public spaces by picking up litter and clearing debris. The Public Works Yard – 4722 Manhattan Beach Blvd -  will be open during these days for residents to drop off bulky items and bagged yard waste. No construction or  hazardous waste accepted. For City of Lawndale residents only. It's a great way to contribute to a cleaner, greener community while enjoying a day of teamwork and local pride!

  • Lawndale Blues Festival (Saturday, September 19, 2026)
    Get ready to groove at the Annual Lawndale Blues Festival, where amazing bands will have you dancing all day long! This community event is packed with live music, mouthwatering food, and exciting games—it's the perfect way to kick back, enjoy great tunes, and have a blast with friends and family!

  • Hispanic Heritage Festival (October 10, 2026)
    Celebrate the vibrant cultures, traditions, and histories of the Hispanic community at our annual Hispanic Heritage Festival! Enjoy a day filled with colorful performances, live music, traditional dances, authentic cuisine, artisan crafts, and family-friendly activities.   • Halloween Haunt (Saturday, October 31, 2026)
    Join us for a spooktacular day at the Halloween Fest, featuring a Costume Parade, games, delicious offerings from food vendors, and a thrilling Trick-or-Treat Trail. For those feeling adventurous, test your courage in the eerie Haunted Maze—it’s a family-friendly celebration you won’t want to miss!

  • Field of Honor Flag Display (Thursday, November 10, 2026 - Tuesday, November 16, 2026)
    The Field of Honor Flag Display is a public event that honors local military veterans. It takes place annually at the Lawndale Civic Center. Stop by to show your support, honor a loved one, and be a part of this wonderful Lawndale event!
